Job Title: Regional Construction Manager Summary: Are you ready to lead and inspire teams to build the future of AutoZone? As a Regional Construction Manager, you'll oversee the execution of construction projects, ensuring they align with AutoZone's policies, procedures, and standards. You'll be the steward of AutoZone's resources, optimizing performance and continually assessing contractor quality, cost, schedule, safety, and security. Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage multiple Project Managers within a specific region, deploying strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills. Business Analysis: Comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents, responding effectively to sensitive issues. Effective Communication: Engineer persuasive presentations on complex topics with leadership and internal-external teams. Financial Management: Utilize in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles to execute complex calculations and prepare budgets and forecasts. Risk Management: Identify complex project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and deploy action plans to eliminate or reduce risks. Contract Management: Prepare and execute construction contracts, negotiate and facilitate change order requests. Site Management: Travel to sites to manage, coach, and mentor Project Managers, ensuring compliance with AutoZone specifications and standards. Design Reviews: Perform and train Project Managers on how to conduct design reviews. Process Improvement: Maintain daily reporting and communication on regional key metrics and project difficulties, promoting process improvement initiatives. Safety Compliance: Ensure ongoing adherence to OSHA 30 safety regulations and conduct site inspections. Key Competencies: Leadership & Coaching Emotional Intelligence & Conflict Resolution Budgets & Forecasting Effective Communication Process Improvement Strategic Planning & Execution Adaptability & Resilience Analysis and Judgment Risk Management & Diagnostic Skills Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience. Experience: 10-20 years in construction project management, with a proven track record in a fast-paced environment. Skills: Effective time management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Certifications: OSHA 30 and PMP certification required. Technical Proficiency: Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Travel: Must be able to travel 3 days per week, 2 weeks per period.
