Maintenance Technician I

ÞPARTMENT SUMMARY * The facilities department plays an important role within the BlueCrest organization. It is vital to maintain a productive and efficient environment within all the departments. The facilities team is a diverse group that works with the factory and operations through their support of building functions. POSITION SUMMARY * Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards. * Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems. * Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility. * Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required. * Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs. * Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES * Making repairs: Making prompt fixes to any issues * Inspections and compliance: Confirming that all functions are compliant with safety regulations and operational policies. * Preventive maintenance: Consistently practicing preventive maintenance to improve the performance and safety of equipment. * Safety procedures: Inspecting existing systems and equipment, and following safety protocols to avoid risks like fire hazards, frayed wires, and slips, trips, and falls. Cleaning: Keeping the building clean for hygiene, maintenance, and appearance MINIMUM: * Requires a high school diploma or equivalent * Requires up to 1 year of general work experience.
