*Operating Room Technician I (entry level or experienced)*

Þpartment Operating Room Job Summary Assists perioperative nurses and anesthesia care providers with patient care and performs delegated patient care procedures in Surgical Services. Checks and restocks supplies; move medical equipment; may prepare equipment for use; and cleans and returns equipment to correct storage locations after use. Performs between case/end-of-case cleaning in the procedure rooms; performs anesthesia turnovers between patients and at end of schedule; and assists in maintaining a clean, safe environment. Day to day job responsibilites: The OR Techs are responsible for setting up and turning over procedure rooms. During each turnover, they remove trash and soiled items from the room, wipe down all equipment and supplies, and set the room back up for the following procedure. They are responsible for moving and setting up the equipment needed for each case. The OR Techs are also responsible for stocking and setting up the gas machines and anesthesia area.
