­ditional Information About the Role GREAT OPPORTUNITY!! We are looking for a Surgical Technology to work Weekend Option. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's POD 2 is located in the Southwest Tower building on the south side of the medical campus. We have fourteen (14) OR suites and we’re a Level 1 Trauma Center meaning our OR is open 24/7. Our core services for this unit include acute critical care (ACCS), orthopedics, ortho trauma, plastics, general robotics, and all services emergency service cases. WEEKEND OPTION: 0600-1900 Saturday and Sunday 1 weekday shift as well Experience highly preferred SIGN ON BONUS 12,500!!! Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies. Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens. Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.
