Management Accountant

<b>Management Accountant - Permanent - Based Great Yarmouth (hybrid considered)</b><br> <br> <b>Job Purpose: </b><br> <br> Responsible for providing accounting support to the Company, as well as preparing financial reports for Senior Management. Additionally, liaises with outside agencies to ensure compliance for reporting and auditing purposes.<br> <br> <b>Key Responsibilities: </b><br> <br> <b>Monthly Reporting / Budgeting and Forecasting</b><br>  <ul><li>Preparation of annual budget / forecast - rolling integrated model incorporating P & L / Balance sheet/ Cashflows for a 12-month period</li><li>Preparation of management accounts (monthly) with support from the Finance Manager - to include:</li><li>Accrued income based on job ticket tracker</li><li>Cost accruals and prepayments</li><li>Tax provisions (estimates)</li><li>Report monthly actuals vs budget with commentary</li><li>Calculation of quarterly tax payments due to HMRC based on forecast taxable profits for the year, with support from tax advisers</li></ul><br> <b>Annual Reporting & Auditing</b><br>  <ul><li>Preparation of year end results, including consolidated results at SHL level</li><li>Preparation of year end file for auditors and run yearend on Sage. Statutory financial statements are prepared by auditors</li><li>Provision of audit information to auditors:</li><li>SSL (AAB)</li><li>SVL and SHL (Crowe Cyprus)</li><li>Norwegian Branch (EY)</li><li>Preparation of SSL Norway branch figures for Norwegian Extract of account (‘EoA')</li><li>Liaise with tax advisers across jurisdictions to ensure accurate year end provisions reflected in the financial statements and timely submission of various compliance requirements</li></ul><br> <b>Tax Reporting</b><br>  <ul><li>Preparation and assistance with tax reporting compliance in UK, Norway and any other relevant jurisdictions</li><li>Working with tax advisors to provide timely and accurate tax reporting</li></ul><br> <b>Experience: </b><br>  <ul><li>Extensive and proven experience in accounting practises, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, preparing and submission of management accounts and auditing</li><li>Extensive and proven experience in tax reporting and compliance in the UK and EEA</li><li>Supervisory experience within a similar role</li><li>Knowledge or experience in working within the Oil and Gas industry would be beneficial, although not essential</li></ul><br> <b>Skills & Qualifications: </b><br>  <ul><li>Certified Management Accountant or Chartered Accountant</li><li>Proficient in using Microsoft Packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li><li>Proficient in using Sage 200<ul></ul></li><li>Excellent spoken and written English</li></ul><br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Chemicals, Construction &amp; Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and&nbsp;Manufacturing&nbsp;sectors worldwide.
