<b>Overview:</b><br />
<br />
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Central Area Pipeline Department (CAPD).<br />
<br />
CAPD is responsible for pumping and transporting hydrocarbon products within the Central Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<br />
<br />
Your primary role will be to provide Electrical Engineering support to 11 crude oil pump stations, 4 Compression Station, 2 Booster Stations and ASL Stabilizer. In addition, you will lead projects related to electrical systems and participate in walkthrough activities for capital projects.<br />
<br />
<b>Key responsibilities:</b><br />
<br />
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Assess plant power systems and substations, and recommend new installations or modifications to improve power system reliability or the replacement of defective/obsolete electrical equipment.</li>
<li>Provide technical troubleshooting and assistance to maintenance staff in resolving power system related problems.</li>
<li>Provide capital project design reviews and comments for the whole project cycle (design basis scoping paper, project proposals and detailed design packages).</li>
<li>Perform site activities, such as field engineering, support for pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup.</li>
<li>Provide technical support for all field power systems at Central and Western Area Pipeline facilities and maintain the Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) models for all plants.</li>
<li>Serve as technical lead on ETAP studies, Power Monitoring Systems (PMS), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Direct Current (DC) systems, medium & low voltage Switchgears/Transformers/MCC/Cables/Motors & Generators and protection system during project design and provide support during implementations.</li>
<li>Prepare conceptual design packages and engineering budgetary cost estimates.</li>
<li>Review installation, site commissioning and factory acceptance testing for low and high voltage transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers and control gear.</li>
<li>Analyze the components, design parameters, installation, operation and maintenance requirements of UPS, DC and battery systems.</li>
<li>Provide project specifications and demonstrate operations and maintenance requirements for transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers and control gear.</li>
<li>Analyze cathodic protection (CP) surveys, provide recommendations for CP deficiencies and optimize the distribution of CP systems along the pipelines corridors.</li>
<li>Assess safety and instrumentation grounding systems and provide recommendations to protect instrumentation and control system against surge and lightning issues.</li>

<li>You must have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.</li>
<li>You should have a minimum of 10 years&
39; experience, preferably in the oil industry.</li>
<li>You must be certified as Professional Engineer in Power field or equivalent.</li>
<li>Experience must be such that you are recognized as power specialist engineer for Oil & Gas industry.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and practices related to oil and gas facilities is essential.</li>
<li>Experience in designing electrical systems and equipment for oil and gas projects is also required.</li>
<li>Familiarity with international standards such as IEEE, IEC, API, and NEC is a must.</li>
