Position Overview: The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules for the corrugator and converting machines, ensuring optimal utilization of resources to meet customer demands. This role serves as a liaison between sales, operations, and supply chain departments to balance production efficiency with customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Production Scheduling: Create and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for corrugator and converting machines to maximize efficiency and meet customer requirements. Order Management: Monitor and track customer orders, prioritizing and expediting as necessary to ensure on-time delivery. Capacity Planning: Analyze production capacity and adjust schedules to accommodate fluctuations in demand, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal use of machinery. Coordination: Collaborate with sales, customer service, production, maintenance, and shipping departments to ensure alignment and effective communication regarding production schedules. Inventory Management: Oversee material flow and manage inventory levels to support production schedules, including roll stock management. Problem-Solving: Identify potential scheduling conflicts or production issues and develop solutions to mitigate delays and maintain efficiency. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the corrugated industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in production scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite; familiarity with manufacturing execution systems is a plus. Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills to assess production data and make informed scheduling decisions. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various departments and stakeholders. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly. Working Conditions: Full-time position in a manufacturing plant/warehouse setting. May require flexible hours, including overtime, to meet production deadlines.
