Registered Nurse (RN)- Sub Acute Per Diem

Responsibilities Registered Nurse (RN) - Subacute located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA This is a per diem position - NOC Shift Reporting to the Director and/or Nurse Manager of Sub-acute Nursing, the sub-acute RN responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation of patient's treatment plan as well as providing education for patient's/resident's families. Direct and supervised nursing care given to patient's/resident's to ensure the highest quality care is rendered in accordance to the Sub-acute standards and Policies and Procedures. Qualifications ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS Successful completion of a ventilator/tracheostomy skills competency within the first seven (7) days during unit orientation and annually thereafter. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE Minimum of six (6) months Sub-Acute experience preferred. Minimum of six (6) months experience within the past two years working in a general acute care facility or an acquired equivalent competency (caring for tracheostomy and ventilator dependent patients) appropriate to the type of sub-acute patient the facility provides care for. REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS Current California RN license required. Current BCLS (CPR) required. ACLS certificate preferred.
