Oil & Gas Operations Manager

Job Title: Operations Manager - Oil & Gas Division<br>Location: GCC (Preferably Qatar) Position: Full-time<br>Minimum Qualifications:<br>• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering from a<br>recognized university.<br>Experience Requirements:<br>• Minimum of 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects, with at least 15 years of<br>experience in the GCC region.<br>• Extensive experience in multidisciplinary EPIC projects within the Oil & Gas<br>sector, including pipelines, midstream transmission, custody transfer, pump stations,<br>compression stations, tank installations, and storage facilities.<br>• Proven track record in successfully executing plant shutdowns independently.<br>Key Responsibilities:<br>• Project Execution: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of various<br>projects in the Oil & Gas sector, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality<br>standards.<br>• Business Development: Drive growth and expand business opportunities, fostering<br>relationships with clients, consultants, and partners.<br>• Division Management: Manage overall operations of the division, ensuring<br>alignment with company objectives, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.<br>• Personnel Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team across<br>multiple projects, ensuring optimal performance and professional development.<br>• Client & Consultant Coordination: Maintain strong working relationships with<br>clients and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any issues.<br>• Statutory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, regional, and<br>international laws, regulations, and safety standards.<br>Required Personal Skills:<br>• Extensive experience in project execution within the Oil & Gas sector, with handson experience in handling complex, multidisciplinary projects.<br>• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee large teams and<br>operations.<br>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively<br>with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.<br>• Demonstrated ability to manage statutory compliance and regulatory requirements across projects.<br>• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges in a fastpaced, high-stakes environment.<br>Job-Specific Skills:<br>• Expertise in the design, engineering, and construction of offshore oil & gas<br>projects, refineries, petrochemical facilities, gas pipelines, and gas processing<br>plants.<br>• Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality<br>outcomes across disciplines.<br>• Resource optimization: Maximize the efficiency of resources across the division<br>with effective control measures and operational oversight.<br>• Demonstrated ability to ensure timely project completion, meeting established<br>targets for cost, quality, and schedule.<br>• Strong understanding of international codes and standards including ASME, PD<br>500, TEMA, API, BS, NACE, ANSI, and AWWA D-100.<br>• Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Qatar, is highly preferred.<br>Desirable Skills:<br>• In-depth experience in estimating for large-scale construction and EPC projects.<br>• Qatar driving license is a plus.<br>Roles & Responsibilities:<br>• Project Profitability: Play a key role in ensuring the financial success and<br>profitability of projects.<br>• Client Liaison: Manage time and cost claims with clients and ensure successful<br>approval and resolution of claims.<br>Note: Candidates with a strong background in the Oil & Gas sector, particularly in EPIC projects, and experience in managing complex operations in the GCC region, are encouraged to apply.<br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Chemicals, Construction &amp; Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and&nbsp;Manufacturing&nbsp;sectors worldwide.
