**Hiring Med/Surg Patient Care Technicians (PCT/CNA/EMT/MST) for our 7WT Medical Renal, Diabetic, Wound Care Unit Full-time Day Shift

Þpartment Medical/Wound Care Unit Job Summary Medical Renal, Diabetic, Wound Care Unit (7WT): Focus on patients with a primary diabetes, renal, or wound care related diagnosis. Specializing in complex wound care, peritoneal dialysis, and the management of medically stable Diabetic Ketoacidosis and Hyperglycemic Hyperosmolar Non-Ketotic Syndrome and intravenous insulin drips. The Patient Care Technician performs tasks supportive to delivery of patient care in assigned departments under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Required Qualifications - Require one of the following: 1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); Paramedic, or a military corpsman; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or 2.) Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: a.) currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN); b.) have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN; and c.) cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN; or 3.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.
