­ditional Information About the Role The STAR clinic in Creve Coeur needs a Physical Activity Tech to assist our Rehab Therapists. If you are customer service oriented, and like working in a medical setting, this part-time opportunity is for you! Monday-Thursday 0830-1700; Friday 0930-1500 (37 hours weekly) No weekends; No Holidays Constantly on your feet. regulatory cleaning, infection prevention cleaning; equipment and supply monitoring Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park. STAR: Sports Therapy And Rehabilitation is a center of excellence. Our staff of experienced, efficient physical therapists and assistants communicate with physicians and work closely with patients to develop a safe, personalized plan of care that ensures successful rehabilitation. Physical therapy programs include sports, orthopedic, and pelvic floor rehabilitation. STAR also provides massage therapy, personal training, and athletic performance enhancement programs. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides routine, non skilled patient treatments as prescribed by the physician and directed by the licensed therapist or therapist assistant. Assists in maintaining inventory of supplies, forms and organizing the clinical environment for safe and effective patient care. Responsibilities Assists the therapist by performing non-skilled activities that are critical to a patient's treatment. Transports patients safely and in a timely fashion. Inputs rehab charges, prepares charts, charge sheets and other documentation required for treatment, and creates, complies, maintains and organizes patient handouts and other departmental reports.
