Instrument and Control Engineer (Angolan National)

<p>Applus+ Angola is looking for a <strong>Instrument and Control Engineer / I&amp;C Engineer (Angolan National)</strong> for a vacancy we have available.</p>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</p>

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>English speaking (<strong>CV must be in English</strong>)</li>
<li>At least 3-5 years equivalent work experience in Instrument and Control Engineering.</li>
<li>Providing support for the execution of Projects within the Facilities Design &amp; Projects Team, ensuring that all scopes of work planned and performed in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the project scope, drawings and specifications.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Champions Incident and Injury Free operations and fully support Stop Work Authority where necessary by maintaining safe and clean working environment, enforcing procedures, rules and regulations in the team to ensure the projects are delivered in safe and reliable manner.</li>
<li>Plans, prioritizes and executes instrument and control scope for projects and construction work in a challenging environment, from early design, mechanical completion, commissioning and handover ensuring that the deadline, resources and deliverables are met timely.</li>
<li>Reviews engineering deliverables and ensuring all design elements for the I&amp;C scope are per company specification for safe and reliable operations.</li>
<li>Maintains a continuous oversight of field/construction activities and leading the developing of Work packs to ensure compliance with the business need in relation to I&amp;C scope.</li>
<li>Understands and follows the project management of change including monitoring project schedule, address deviations and study possible solutions for effective and efficient delivery of the project.</li>
<li>Develop Scopes of work, review proposals and participate in the development of award recommendations as the I&amp;C discipline engineer.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Liaise with Document Control Team to ensure project records and documentation is organized and updated. Participate in teams carrying out debottlenecking activities or general plant studies as required (typically these teams are made up of Process, Instrumentation, and Controls Engineers with operations and maintenance personnel involved).</li>
<li>Monitor technology changes and updates of equipment in instrumentation field. Work closely with operations and maintenance personnel to ensure plant instrumentation systems are modernized, as such programs can be justified on a cost effective basis. In cooperation with process engineering and operations, work towards the optimization of plant operations, maximizing plant product production (LNG, LPGs, Condensate, Domestic Gas) from available plant feed stock at minimum expenditure of plant resources (equipment, manpower, capital). Work with the operations group to execute the conclusions of these studies.</li>
<li>Develop/utilize monitoring program for plant instrumentation to ensure equipment is performing as designed.</li>
<li>Apply safety concepts: active participant in promoting a safety culture and participating in safety initiatives Search and apply safety lessons learned.</li>
