We promote innovation and project-based learning while encouraging students and teachers to collaborate, create, and engage. We are home to the BlueCross Technology Academy (a Future Ready Institute focused on engineering and computer science) and a VW eLab. We are also the site of the Red Bank Community School - the first of this community-based model in Hamilton County. RBHS works to enable all students to graduate with high academic achievement and the social preparation needed to be globally competitive and responsible citizens. In addition, we have a wide variety of athletic, clubs and extra-curricular activities available for students. We are looking for teachers with innovative teaching strategies, deep understanding of content, and the ability to engage and connect with students. Responsibilities Teaching & Learning - Deeply understand the Tennessee Mathematics Standards and establish clear learning targets for every lesson. Build rigorous and aligned assessments and consistently implement high leverage mathematics practices and strategies. Professional Responsibilities: Actively participates in professional learning communities (PLCs) with colleagues in order to improve teaching and student learning. Reflect on instruction and leadership while contributing ideas, expertise, and time to the mission and goals of the school. Qualifications Committed to high academic achievement and high expectations for all students Able to be a positive team-player and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, students, and families Open to being coached and receiving feedback in order to advance learning and growth for students Professional with high personal standards and integrity Teaching candidate must hold a valid state of Tennessee teaching certification in 6-12 Mathematics or be an upcoming graduate in an accredited teacher preparation program. If you hold a teaching license in another state, you must apply for a Tennessee teaching license. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree. Compensation Salary is based on a combination of relevant education and experience. Salary Scale This position may be eligible for an increase in total compensation.
