Service Advisor / Detail Lead *to support autonomous vehicle partner* in West LA*

AutoNation Reconditioning Services – Southern CA AutoNation is now hiring an Autonomous Vehicle Service Advisor to join our team and work alongside our nationally recognized Autonomous Vehicle Partner at a West Los Angeles Service Depot. In this exciting role, you’ll be responsible for processing depot repair orders, allocating work assignments, and providing support to the Autonomous Vehicle Technician Specialists working on maintenance and repairs for our Autonomous Vehicle Partner. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the Depot is processing repairs in a timely manner and meeting our Autonomous Partners service expectations while working alongside other AutoNation teammates in a positive, innovative work environment. Position Overview The Service Advisor / Detail Lead is responsible for work allocation, supervision and training of a team of detail technicians to assure efficient and productive team performance. Schedule and assign daily work objectives for the service detail technicians Monitor performance and counsel service detail technicians with behavioral or performance issues Train, coach, supervise and assist the service detail technicians Maintain a safe and efficient shop area that is free of hazards Maintain an objective assessment of each service detail technician's training, skills and abilities With the assistance of the service consultant and service manager, chart the performance of each service detail technician Coordinate ongoing training for the service detail technicians and maintain a log of the completed training and certifications received Maintain a schedule of the service detail technician absences for training, vacation or personal reasons to assure proper staffing to meet work demands Conduct team meetings with the service consultants and service detail technicians to assess prior day performance and review work assignments for the day What are the requirements for this job? High School Diploma or equivalent Strong understanding of autonomous systems, including how they function and interact, must have Experience in self-driving systems and their operational processes, highly desirable Familiarity with car repair and maintenance, a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must have a valid driver's license Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles Demonstrated customer service skills Computer skills Two or more years of supervisory experience (preferred) 24/7 Operation / Several work schedules to choose from such as: 6:00am - 2:30pm 2:00pm - 10:30pm Company Overview AutoNation, a provider of personalized transportation services, is driven by innovation and transformation.
