Overview Developing suitable and new potato varieties to offer unique products, cost competitiveness，premium pricing and improved profitability to ensure business long-term success. Responsibilities Lead and oversee all aspects of potato and other crop breeding & evaluation programs, including planning, execution, and evaluation. VSA-variety specific agronomy development and implementation, bring the sciences to best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define new variety objectives and prioritize goals, contracts, and seed ramp up. Utilize advanced breeding techniques and technologies to accelerate the development of new potato varieties and other crop. Manage field trials, data collection, and analysis to select superior potato lines. Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of potato genetics and breeding methodologies. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and research in potato breeding. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to crop breeding and variety registration. Mentor and train team members in Agronomy best practices. Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including research institutions, university and growers. Prepare and present reports on breeding program progress and results to stakeholders. New variety protection (IP) application and registration according to China law regulation Qualifications A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field. PhD is a plus. Proven experience in potato breeding and variety development, preferably in a managerial role. In-depth knowledge of potato genetics, breeding methodologies, and agronomy. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Proficiency in statistical analysis software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and project management skills. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to crop breeding and variety registration is a plus. Willingness to travel as needed.
