Onshore Labourer

<b>Length of contract: </b>Approx.2-3 months<br />

<b>Location: </b>Mount Pearl, Newfoundland<br />

<b>JOB SUMMARY: </b>Help and Assist with inspection of lifting equipment.<br />
<br />
<b>PREREQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p>

<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or Equivalent</li>
<li>Previous laborer experience required</li>
<li>Previous offshore experience considered an asset</li>
<li>Forklift Certificate considered an asset</li>
<li>Hard Working and Dependable</li>
<li>Strong Safety Background</li>
<li>Experience being on call - available on short notice</li>
<li>Basic PPE (safety boots, coveralls, hard hat, work gloves, safety glasses, rain gear, etc)</li>
<li>Must pass Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks.</li>
</ul>

<b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Assist with inspection of lifting equipment, place lifting equipment in rigging lofts</li>
<li>Perform housekeeping duties as instructed</li>
<li>Assist with pulling out wire rope casing slings, coiling wire rope casing slings into baskets</li>
<li>Ensure all tools and equipment are stowed appropriately at the end of each shift to avoid safety hazards for other operations</li>
</ul>

<li>Actively participate in the safety programs within the company</li>
<li>Actively participate in safety, departmental, pre-tour, client meetings, etc.</li>
<li>Monitor the environmental conditions to ensure the safety of operations in the facility or work area</li>
<li>Ensure that approved operating procedures are adhered to at all times. Report all unsafe activities, situations, and potential hazards to supervisor</li>
<li>Effectively use all safety and environmental tools employed in the facility or work area</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
