Overview The Facilities & Infrastructure Operations Division is responsible for plant engineering, plant energy and utility operations, and facility operations for the South campus and leased facilities, North Campus and Infrastructure Operations, the Physical Science facility, and the 300 Area. In addition, the Division oversees campus infrastructure such as fabrication and craft services, duplicating and mail services, relocations, receiving, distributed services, and maintains operations of roads, grounds, and utilities for the campus. Responsibilities Candidate will work in the North Campus Operations Engineering and Maintenance group. They will support day to day operations and engineering activities required to ensure all facility systems remain operational and reliable. This will include field/facility walkdowns, verification of engineering drawings, asset/equipment database maintenance, varying levels of engineering analysis to resolve emergent issues, engineering assessments and reporting, preventative maintenance support, material identification, ordering and various other tasks that arise in the day to day operations of the North Campus facilities. The student will gain extensive knowledge of Facility operations, system automation, configuration management, project management roles and responsibilities, preventative and corrective maintenance strategies and decision making in an operational environment. They will gain perspective of the engineering maintenance side of operations, work with bargaining unit craft, management, procedure writing, facility management control systems technicians and the Building Operations Control Center staffing support with the goal of improving the overall operations and energy efficiency of our assigned facilities.
