Undergraduate Technical Intern — Materials Synthesis and Analysis

This position is for an Undergraduate Summer Intern. Responsibilities This position will involve research supporting materials synthesis analysis as well as analysis and testing of new or existing materials to identify their properties and characteristics for the development or improvement of new or existing products. Studies the relationship between chemical and physical properties to identify or better understand new or existing signatures. May perform computational modeling of physical systems. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have a high school diploma /GED or higher Candidates must be degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university Candidates must be taking at least 6 credit hours and have an overall cumulative GPA of 2.50 Preferred Qualifications: GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred Chemistry/Engineering/Materials Science research and development experience Hazardous Working Conditions/Environment The position is expected to be onsite because of the hands on nature of working with instruments and in the laboratory.
