<b>Job Title:</b> HSE Advisor - Petrochemical Site - Shutdown<br><br> <b>Location: Hull, Saltend</b><br><br> <b>Duration:</b> 4-8 weeks (Short Term Contract)<br> <b>Shutdown:</b> 10th April - May 24<br><br> <b>Position Overview:</b> We are currently seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team on a short-term contract basis at our petrochemical site. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety across the site.<br><br> <b>Responsibilities:</b><br><br><ul><li>Provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters to site personnel.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.</li><li>Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the site.</li><li>Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.</li><li>Deliver training sessions and toolbox talks to raise awareness of safety issues and promote best practices.</li><li>Collaborate with site management and operational teams to drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.</li><li>Act as a focal point for HSE-related communications and initiatives, both internally and externally.</li></ul><b>Requirements:</b><br><br><ul><li>Proven experience as an HSE Advisor in the petrochemical or similar industry.</li><li>Strong knowledge of<b> mechanical and scaffolding</b> safety procedures and practices.</li><li>Familiarity with relevant HSE legislation, regulations, and standards.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.</li><li>Relevant qualifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.</li></ul><b>Contract Details:</b><br><br><ul><li>Outside IR35: Limited companies are welcome to apply.</li></ul><br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
