Lead Administrator - SQL DBA

Job Description § Experience to Production Server Environment. § Should have handled database installations as SQL DBA § Creation and Maintenance of Database Instances. § Execution of backup/recovery procedures § Event, database performance and availability monitoring. § 24x7 Production support including scheduled and emergency night and weekend work § Follow the IT service management guideline while working with tools like ‘remedy’ § Preparedness to work in Shifts in rotation. § Exposure to Logical and Physical database design and Implementation § SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014/2016/2017 database administration experience. Experience in other version also preferred. § Install, configuring, applying patches to SQL server on standalone and cluster instances § Knowledge in Replication, Log Shipping, Mirroring, Clustering, AlwaysOn– configure and basic troubleshooting § Database Refresh § Backup monitoring, verification § Applying Database patches § OS level activities related to database tasks. § Log, scheduled Job Management § Schema Object, Partition Management ,Execution plan knowledge § Table Management, Database reorganization § Index Management ,Index reorganization § Knowledge on SSIS/SSRS/SSAS for configuration and troubleshooting performance issues § Able to handle performance issues independently § Experiance in Sybase is preferred § Knowledge of ITIL processes § should flexible to work shifts and support Weekends work Skills Required § SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017 database administration experience. Experience in other version also preferred. § Install, configuring, applying patches to SQL server § Backup and restore of databases. § Performance tuning exposure. § Exposure to DTS Packages § Exposure in Replication, Log shipping and Clustering in SQL 2000/2005 § Exposure to Logical and Physical database design and Implementation § Application DBA Exposure § Development support/ debugging procedures § Win NT/2000/2003 administration experience is desired. § Good Oral and Written communication skills § Basic DB Scripting, SQL Profiler ,Query Analyzer § Sybase 11.x thru’ 15.x database administration experience. Experience in other version also preferred. § Install, configuring, applying patches to Sybase SQL server § Backup and restore of databases. § Performance tuning exposure. § Exposure in Replication and Clustering in Sybase 12.x – 15.x § Exposure to Logical and Physical database design and Implementation § Application DBA Exposure § Development support/ debugging procedures § Unix ,Linux,Win NT/2000/2003 administration experience is desired. § Good Oral and Written communication skills § Basic DB Scripting, DB Artisan, Shell scripts § Candidate should be flexible for working in rotational shift MSSQL Database Admin
