Summary Validates and facilitates activities associated with regulatory compliance related to HIM. Serves as a subject matter expert in the knowledge and application of HIM processes. Qualifications Education Associates degree – Health information technology, health information management or a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree – Health information technology, health information management or a related field is preferred. Experience 3 years of related experience in the HIM healthcare setting is required. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) is required.
