Create/edit/maintain firewall rules. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving firewall and network related issues. Ensure compliance, configuration and data quality levels are maintained. Document work instructions or procedures. Mandatory Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of experience in a network security role in organizations with networks. Experience with fundamental networking technologies and protocols (Automated Rack Placement, Ethernet, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), IPSec, GRE, WiFi standards, routing protocols, Domain Name System (DNS), RADIUS, 802.1x, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS). Experience writing software in one modern programming language such as Go, C++, C, or Python. Experience with routing, switching and network security technologies and protocols. Candidates must have experience with Juniper routing & switching and Cloud experience. Additional (Optional) Requirements: Experience with data protection technologies including encryption, key management, data loss prevention and hardware security modules. Experience identifying and mitigating network security risks using threat modelling and other risk identification techniques. Experience with Capirca and/or multi-platform ACL generation system. Previous work experience following change management procedures and maintaining a highly available. Two (2) + years’ experience working at an ISP or large enterprise environment. Technical understanding and practical application of security support. Strong experience in VPN, IPSec, GRE, and SSL tunnels.
