For a balanced planet.<br><br><b> Job Summary: </b><br> <br> You will work with the global IT organisation to provide desktop support and IT service management to the scientific community in Cambridge. You will be exposed to a wide range of tools and business processes. This is a great opportunity to learn about IT service delivery and management.<br> <br> Essential Responsibilities and Duties:<br> <ul> <li> Troubleshoot and resolve PC incidents</li> <li> Hardware & software maintenance and support</li> <li> Asset management </li> <li> Coordinate with Break/Fix vendor for hardware repair</li> <li> Assist and work closely with IT security issue and virus eradication effort</li> <li> Comply with IT standard processes and procedures</li> <li> Active participation in regular staff meetings as coordinated by Service Delivery manager </li> <li> Maintain working area to professional standards</li> <li> Comply with Schlumberger QHSE and IT security policies</li> <li> Assist in running local and virtual conferences in our state-of-the-art conferencing facilities. </li> </ul> <br><br><b> Qualification: </b><br> <br> Studying towards a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field.<br><br><b> Competencies: </b><br> <ul> <li> A familiarity with PC hardware and Microsoft software</li> <li> Great customer focus</li> <li> Show initiative to identify and solve interesting technical problems and share the results with the wider organisation</li> <li> The ability to communicate technical issues to a wide audience</li> </ul> <br><br>SLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
