Patient/Family Liaison

Þpartment Pre Operative Care Unit Job Summary Serves as a patient/family liaison by providing information about the status of the surgical patient’s perioperative visit to the patients’ family members/visitors; visits with patients’ families while surgery is in progress. Provides assistance with problems or concerns and answers questions appropriately and provides accurate information. Acts as an intermediary to hospital staff on behalf of patients/family. Promotes patient/family satisfaction. Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications - Prefer a minimum of two (2) years of experience with public relations. - Prefer demonstrated ability to interact in a professional manner with patients, families and employees. - Prefer basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications and office equipment. - Prefer ability to work independently and to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with problem solving skills. Mandatory Education Preferred Education HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate Required License and Certs BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR Preferred License and Certs
