­ditional Information About the Role Full Time Patient Transporter Role Monday Thru Friday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (Firm Hours) Supports the Radiology Depatment Must be able to push wheelchairs and hospital beds around the hospital. Must be able to assist in lifiting patients and helping to prevent injuries due to falls Compassion, Charm, and Teamwork are a MUST Full Time Benefits Plan. IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CPR CERTIFIED AND FAMILIAR WITH AED MACHINES Overview Parkland Health Center includes two locations in Missouri — a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington as well as a three-bed critical access hospital in Bonne Terre. Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. Parkland’s Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics, geriatric psychiatry and emergency services, along with a wide variety of outpatient services including oncology services, an infusion center, a wound care clinic, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. The Parkland Bonne Terre campus includes emergency services, inpatient services for patients meeting specific criteria, and a sleep study lab. Radiology services offer CTScan and fluoroscopic services on an outpatient basis. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Patient Transporter transports patients and/or items such as lab specimens and x-ray films to and from patient rooms and ancillary areas in a timely manner. Provides an acceptable flow of customer and miscellaneous items to and from different treatment areas, physician's offices, and other areas throughout the medical complex. Responsibilities Transports and lifts non-ambulatory patients, x-rays, medical records, specimens, and other special deliveries throughout hospital campus. Pays close attention to patient safety protocols. Keeps equipment clean and functional. Completes assigned tasks within department expectations.
