Financial Controller (m/f/x)

Our division Smart Infrastructure intelligently connects energy systems, buildings and industries, enhancing the way we live and work to significantly improve efficiency and sustainability. Therefore, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Financial Controller to reinforce our fantastical team. Your main responsibilities will be planning, controlling, and reporting activities for the business unit. Next to that you will support management in understanding performance, risks and forecasting to help drive their operational efficiency. Through definition of new models/dashboards and regular use of existing operational and financial dashboards you will contribute to an increasing efficiency of the department's cost flows. You'll complete budget and financial planning, actual-versus-plan analysis, benchmarking, forecasting and reporting activities to support management in their decision-making process. Your analytical and critical mindset allows you to analyze and evaluate the existing cost structures and optimize the depending cost accounting system. You'll identify efficiency measures which can be taken to help improve business performance and ensure proper cost booking. You’ll develop regular presentations for internal stakeholders based on budget and periodic forecast consolidation and define and monitor relevant KPIs to ensure the achievement of business goals. Finally, you’ll design follow up models to calculate benefits of efficiency plans and perform Actual vs Plan comparisons to pursue effects of agreed measures. You'll also carry out ad-hoc analyses and profitability calculations. Your ideas count from day one. Thus, you will be encouraged to propose and design solutions. Do you have a financial degree in Finance or Accounting? demonstrate solid accounting skills with ability to demonstrate an understanding and interpretation of key financial statements? have an excellent professional knowledge of MS Office (expert knowledge of Excel) and SAP? have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with a critical mindset? love to work with numbers and data? speak Dutch with a good command of English?
