Test & Commissioning Engineer - Site Based

Role Overview The Test & Commissioning Engineer will play a key role in the production of large x-ray equipment. They will be part of a small team responsible for commissioning complex hold baggage/parcel screening x-ray systems and associated matrix solutions, within a production environment. Responsibilities System electrical start up and system testing, following start-up/test procedures. Setup, configure and test RTT image reconstruction and threat detection engine (SW&HW) Setup, configure and test PLC code and HMI functionality. Conduct Image Quality (IQ) machine configuration process Support the development of relevant testing documentation and work instructions. Assembly, configuration and fault finding of network/workstation solutions. Support customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) Work with QA to resolve any quality and supplier issues. Any other ad hoc tasks requested by Management Qualifications Experience in X-ray generation equipment desired, but not essential. Experience with PLC controls, Allen Bradley platform with RS Logix is preferred. Experience with complex IT systems, both Microsoft and Linux OS Strong analytical outlook, combined with good communication skills. Experience in fault finding on complex electrical panels and circuits with the ability to rework any faults found whilst adhering to the required procedures. Experience of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kanban and CI methodology etc desirable Qualifications, HNC and equivalent or proven hands on experience.
