Associate Finance Manager - Cedar Rapids, IA

OVERVIEW: This AFM Field Finance role at the Cedar Rapids Plant offers a unique experience to sit on the Fruit leadership team and provide financial leadership to one of Supply Chain’s largest and ever-changing manufacturing departments, while working in one of NAR’s largest manufacturing facilities. In this role you will not only have the opportunity to influence key capital investment, staffing, HMM and other cost management decisions for the CR fruit team, but you will have the opportunity to influence key Field Finance functional initiatives and work with the business team on HMM and internalization projects. In addition to building all your finance core capabilities, this role allows you the unique opportunity to build your governance expertise through the execution and monitoring of internal controls. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Build and Execute a Financial Plan Partner with the operations and engineering team to develop annual manufacturing plan and ongoing forecasts Establish manufacturing SKU level product costs annual and for all new SKUs Monitoring monthly financial and operational performance and develop plans to close any gaps to plant targets, including communication with applicable Business Units Lead monthly financial close process ensuring accuracy of plant manufacturing costs Partnership for Impact Build strong relationship with cross functional teams, OU SC Finance teams and work across the matrix to deliver results via candid communication and productive discourse Represent the finance function on the Fruit Leadership Team to support development and execution of Fruit strategies. Leverage data analytics and insights to influence operations and business partners to optimize plant cost profile. Actively lead in the HMM space. Track and support delivery of annual HMM targets. Partner with cross functional teams to develop and execute HMM and capital plans Identify key internal controls risks and educate cross functional partners on risks and processes to mitigate risk to ensure strong internal controls MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field 5+ years of related experience Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities (Analytic Proficiency) Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated self-starter with strong organization and prioritization skills Ability to work well on team and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization (Partnership for Impact) Desire to work cross functionally with all plant functions (Cross-Functional Leadership) Ability to influence, develop, and motivate peers (Matrix Relationship Management) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Willingness to commit to 18-24 months in role Experience working in a finance/accounting role within manufacturing Experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment Assertive, self-confident, and willing to offer opinions and insights Initiative and ability to work independently and to effectively work with a team (Situational Agility) ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $90100.00 - $135300.00 / Annually.
