<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>The role reports directly into the Procurement Technology Category Manager and ensures effective procurement support to ongoing sourcing and vendor management activity as the Firm continues to embrace technology transformation. The role supports the development and execution of sourcing strategies that drive greater efficiency, effectiveness and value from the IT supply chain and are underpinned by the negotiation of robust contracts that appropriately manage and mitigate risk.</p><p></p>A vacancy has arisen for a Procurement Technology Commodity Manager and a suitably qualified strategic sourcing professional is sought to join the existing Technology Procurement team. The role reports directly into the Procurement Technology Category Manager and is an excellent opportunity for an appropriately-skilled professional to develop their career within a Procurement function that has attained Chartered Institute<br />of Purchasing &amp; Supply (CIPS) certification of excellence in strategic procurement capability and is supporting a firm that is transforming it’s use of technology and technology related services.The role is focused on three key areas:<br />Strategic Sourcing - managing sourcing activity related to technology, ensuring that these are aligned to business objectives.<br />Relationship Management – acting as a trusted business advisor to functional leaders and service owners across PwC, and providing governance support to supplier relationships.Risk Management - particularly through the negotiation of robust contracts and service level agreements with limited legal counsel input, and the ongoing development of best practice procurement processes incorporating supply chain<br />sustainability considerations.<u>Skills</u>1. Well-developed commercial and technical expertise in the area of<br />strategic sourcing<br />2. Robust communication, influencing and relationship management skills<br />3.
