Senior Cloud Engineer

The Team: We are looking for a highly self-motivated hands-on Sr Cloud Engineer who would focus on our cloud infrastructure architecture and build framework. You will be part of the cloud engineering team architecting various solutions for business requirements within different product offerings of commodity insights. The team is responsible for ensuring cloud solutions that deliver Greater Reliability & Resilience, High Performance, High Availability and Scalability. The Impact: You will utilize your technical knowledge and analytical skills in architecting and optimizing cloud infrastructure, standardizing technology stack for cloud & data centers, implementing cloud services and governance solutions, and driving implementation of our cloud first strategy and cloud adoption in partnership with development & business stakeholders. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for supporting a large-scale deployment and all underlying systems related to supporting cloud computing workloads and IT project deployment. Works on problems of critical and high severity where analysis of problems or application functionality requires a review of a relevant dependency factors across systems, infrastructure, network, application, database, data and protocols. Responsibilities: Administer AWS infrastructure including compute, network, and storage resources. Provision compute instances in AWS and manage resource utilization. Engineer network solutions in AWS and establish connectivity to data centers. Engineer storage solutions, content replication, meet performance requirements. Deploy managed services in AWS for Kinesis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, API Gateway etc. Orchestrate container deployment using ECS, EKS, Docker Coordinate implementation of Firewall rules and routing changes. Address security vulnerabilities in infrastructure. Implement highly available & fault-tolerant solutions to withstand system failures. Maintain network diagrams, systems installation configuration & guides, support procedures and runbook. Respond to critical production issues and provide immediate workarounds to maintain business continuity. Infrastructure vuln management and remediation, OS, and cloud vulnerabilities. Administer Kubernetes clusters and their lifecycle, to guarantee a high degree of reliability, security, scalability, and confidence at any given time, provide support, improve, and implement Kubernetes internal components and applications on top of multiple clusters and troubleshoot and triage issues as they arise. Being able to excel with minimal technical supervision, embrace reliability constraints, be proactive, contribute improvements to the platform. Lead and mentor junior team members. What We’re Looking For: 4+ Years’ experience in infrastructure design/implementation that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. (Required). 2 years administering a Kubernetes cluster in a production environment Strong Implementation experience in AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS, ELB, RDS, EFS, EBS, Route53, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Lambda, S3. Expertise experience in container platform infrastructure in AWS (EKS, ECS, Fargate) Ability to code/script in Python/Shell/PowerShell Language. Senior level experience managing and administering Linux/Windows based systems. Strong CloudFormation or Terraform knowledge (YAML and/or JSON). Experience delivering projects via Agile methodologies Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
