Overview PepsiCo Data Governance Program Overview: PepsiCo is establishing a Data Governance program that will be the custodian of the processes, policies, rules and standards by which the Company will define its most critical data. Enabling this program will: Define ownership and accountability of our critical data assets to ensure they are effectively managed and maintain integrity throughout PepsiCo’s systems Leverage data as a strategic enterprise asset enabling data-based decision analytics Improve productivity and efficiency of daily business operations Position Overview: The Data Quality Lead role is responsible for working with PepsiCo sectors and functions to implement and provide platform-based support as the Data Quality platform (Informatica IDQ) gets rolled out across the PepsiCo enterprise. This role requires deep knowledge of Informatica technologies for Data Quality operationalization. This role will be deployed to work with various projects and sectors within PepsiCo to ensure data related requirements are in adherence to the global data governance policies & standards set by Global Data Governance. This role will support develop business and technical requirement documents, support for user acceptance test and postproduction support. This role will support the global data quality function to operationalize and provide solutions for deployment of the data quality technology platform to manage and govern PepsiCo’s core data as per established global standards. The role will be responsible to provide hands on support for running data analysis, data profiling, data validation, data cleansing, data standardization, data quality scorecards, integrating sources for running quality checks as well as developing scripts to perform data analysis on the platform as required. The Data Quality Lead will work closely with Data Domain Stewards, Data Governance and the broader Data + Analytics team to ensure any technical solution related support is available as programs with focus on data are being rolled out as per the established program charter. Responsibilities Primary Accountabilities: Manage data quality technical rollouts to program teams from a platform usage & functional coverage standpoint. Lead informational training sessions to walkthrough core use cases covered by the applications. Create functional use cases on the platform and develop standards of maintaining DQ rules in the platform. Ability to code IDQ mapplets and rules for deploying data quality validation checks and bring up scorecards Create integrations between Axon and IDQ applications to display integrated rules/scores on Axon Provide expertise in all aspects of data quality including profiling, validation, standardization, error handling and data cleansing using IDQ (v10.x) Ensure data models, data architecture, data mapping and data dictionary are being used to develop IDQ rules as applicable Provide suggestions on IDQ design for individual project tracks Perform Data Analysis using IDQ as applicable Create Enterprise Logical (executable) DQ rules in the form of Mapplets and use CDO’s & LDO’s to run data analysis Prepare DQ Scorecard for data validation across chosen dimensions of DQ Run validation checks and help in formulating dimensional comparisons Work in collaboration with IT and Security teams standards & capabilities. Provide support on how data governance should address as part of platform maintenance. Communicate regularly with program teams and stewards to make necessary design reviews on the platform as needed. Create DQ technology best practices and performance optimization methods as applicable. Create DQ Dashboard using Power BI or Tableau. Enterprise Data Governance Operations and Advisory: Ensure alignment of the quality project and standards with applicable enterprise, business segment, and local data support models. Support the maintenance of enterprise-level data standards in the platform along with a repository of key elements pertaining to their in-scope data domain (e.g external data) and promoting their use throughout the PepsiCo organization. Perform DQ design reviews on various projects to ensure that any data related changes are aligned to the platform as well as managed to ensure adherence with the Enterprise Data Quality & Governance established standards. Qualifications Qualifications: 6+ years of experience working with Informatica Platform for Data Quality Has been part of a full cycle implementation project using Informatica suite Has hands on experience with APIs, developing LDOs/CDOs, Scripting Mapplets for DQ transformations and rules, error handling workflows in DQ. Proficient with advanced SQL scripting and ETL transformation logic on the Informatica suite of applications Good understanding of reporting applications and integrations between Data quality and reporting applications Strong techno- functional background with ability to understand data quality management and its application to maintaining consistent quality of data across the enterprise for compliance and reporting requirements. Knowledge of enterprise data architecture with modern applications (Informatica) Ability to partner with a multi-tiered and matrixed organization model to support complex data programs. Competencies: Ability to understand and design platform rollouts for data quality operationalization Strong grasp of DQ design and understanding of modern data architecture as it applies to data quality rollouts. Strong Communication Skills/Able to Persuade/Influence Others at all organization Levels and the ability foster lasting partnerships Ability to translate functional requirements into technical use cases and requirements.
