Þpartment Breast Navigation Job Summary The diagnostic navigator for Breast Health is a registered nurse who identifies and provides guidance to patients in eliminating potential barriers to care. The nurse addresses both the art and the sciences of breast healthcare and redefines the patient’s experience. They provide emotional support and education for patients who have received an abnormal mammogram from detection of the abnormal finding through diagnosis. They serve as a consistent care coordinator within the multidisciplinary Breast Health Center to facilitate care, help with information, and support during the time in between waiting for results. Required Qualifications - Require Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN), or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN); or must be obtained within one (1) year of employment/transfer date. Preferred Qualifications Mandatory Education BSN: Bachelor of Science Nursing Preferred Education Required License and Certs BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License Preferred License and Certs
