<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood Applied Intelligence (AI) is is currently seeking an expression of interest for Senior Fitters with extensive experience in machine building. They will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly tasks within the workshop. Being part of a multi disciplined team, providing customers in the the Nuclear, Energy, Pharma and Manufacturing sectors with high quality machinery and automated solutions.<br />
<br />
This role will be based at the teams Northampton office.<br />

Fitter responisbilities include:</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Machine build, assembly and development to required standards</li>
<li>Keep detailed development and test records for machine build as required</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of project changes and write up change logs</li>
<li>Station and field wiring build to standards and labelling (when required)</li>
<li>Plumbing of pneumatic valves, pipework and required labelling</li>
<li>Understand and read mechanical drawings and parts lists</li>
<li>Utilise ATG machine tools and workshop facilities to aid development</li>
<li>Keep a tidy work place for quality and H&S requirements</li>
<li>Communicate project status and issues to Systems Site Manager and Project Engineers</li>
<li>Maintain and improve upon personal skills related to the position, through experience and training</li>
<li>Comply with the company policy as defined in the Staff Handbook, Safety Manual, and Quality Assurance Manual and Wood Group ethics policy</li>
<li>Other duties as required</li>
<li>Site work and commissioning when required</li>

<li>Time served apprenticeship in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering and BTEC Pro Diploma / City and Guilds 2365</li>
<li>Ability to work across a wide range of different industries</li>
<li>Held a similar role previously</li>
<li>Microsoft Office competent</li>
<li>Extensive array of multi technical skills</li>
<li>Problem solving</li>
<li>Experienced with project machine builds and requirements</li>
</ul>
