<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. <br><br>Providing Technical Safety support to multidisciplinary engineers and designers to ensure effective implementation of safety and environmental regulatory requirements whilst observing risk management processes. <br><br><b> Scope of services to be provided </b><br><ul><li> Produce Technical Safety engineering deliverables required for project execution. Such document include safety engineering philosophies, safety screening documents, safety specifications, equipment specifications </li><li> Participate/facilitate in formal process safety assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP and SIL target setting studies, and generate study reports. </li><li> Input to, and participation at project design assurance reviews such as P&ID reviews, HAZCON, Constructability reviews </li><li> Undertake hazard consequence analysis using software such as DNV Phast cloud dispersion, Jet Fire, Fireball, Vapour Cloud Explosion </li><li> Assist Project Management to assess risks both qualitatively and quantitatively, while making major engineering decisions </li><li> Hazardous area classification following industry codes and guidance </li><li> Develop and implement functional safety management plans </li><li> Produce and review specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring that they conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systems </li><li> Provide technical support to projects and sites as required </li><li> Support to projects on regulatory requirements </li><li> Attend client meetings and communicate issues with lead engineer as required </li><li> Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement </li><li> Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislative changes, initiatives and industry technology developments </li></ul><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Qualifications, Skills and Competencies </b><br><br> Essential: <br><ul><li> Degree in appropriate Engineering Discipline </li><li> Relevant project experience </li></ul><br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
