Lead Engineer 1 - Cloud Engineering

Overview The WSP Team is built to address the needs of Brand Marketing organizations across all sectors. With the platform growing rapidly, projected to host almost 400 sites, the team needs some key resources that can help keep the platform stable while growing it from an Infrastructure perspective. The main purpose of this role is to build core competencies around the hosting and infrastructure side in-house rather than having to depend on transitory vendor resources that may not be available during critical times. The role requires the candidate to be competent and proficient in Cloud infrastructure - ideally in AWS or Azure. He/She should be familiar with DevOps roles and responsibilities like building Pipelines, Configuring Kubernetes clusters, Monitoring, and Reporting, GIT Repositories, etc. Responsibilities Build reusable platform capabilities and accelerators that will facilitate the onboarding of websites to the global platform resulting in cost savings through standardization – Executing Actions (in partnership with Web Solutions Platform architects, EA, sector IT leads, and Marketing business units. Keep the platform modern and relevant by staying current on the latest in Cloud and infrastructure technologies and services. Improve platform capabilities by introducing or incorporating the latest offerings from Azure and AWS. Improve platform stability, scalability, and security using automation and integrating Pepsico prescribed tools into the automation Improve Platform via automated monitoring and alerting for issues. Qualifications Years of Experience 3-4 Years Kubernetes, Helm 5-6 Years Shell script, PowerShell 3-4 Years Container, Git, and CI/CD pipelines 5-6 Years either of Azure and/or AWS 4-5 Years Ansible, Terraform, Cloud Formation Mandatory Technical Skills Competent in TCP/IP Protocols, Networking Infrastructure knowledge Competent in Shell script, PowerShell Competent in Terraform, Ansible Competent in Kubernetes, Helm Good understanding of container (Docker), container security Good grasp of CI/CD pipelines and GIT or equivalent Code Repositories. Expertise in AWS or Azure Cloud development. Mandatory Non-Technical Skills Excellent communication skills Experience with Agile Software development principles. Ability to clearly understand requirements outlined in user stories in DevOps boards and execute accordingly. Ability to learn new concepts and skills and technologies to evolve as the technology landscape evolves.
