Overview The Role: Job Type: Full - Time, Permanent Hours: 40+ hrs/ week Shift: Afternoon/ Evening Days: Mon – Thur (4 x 10hrs) 12:00 to 22:30 Pay Rate: $35.79hr / Travel Premium Pay / Meal Allowance The Fleet Mechanic contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by maintaining and repairing fleet equipment and performing preventative maintenance. Responsibilities The work you’ll be doing: Weekly Travel to Branch locations (Brandon, Dauphin & Kenora) Maintain and repair fleet equipment and perform preventative maintenance Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary Complete all necessary documents, including vehicle records Maintain cleanliness in areas of work Maintain records of daily check list (pre-trip inspections) Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner Follow the direction of Fleet Supervisor/Manager Qualifications Who’s a good fit for the team: High School Diploma or equivalent GED required Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty Diesel Technician certificate High school diploma or equivalent is required Valid class 5 operators license is required Dedication to safety; a safety leader to help drive a strong safety culture Highly skilled in electrical and diesel aftertreatment diagnostics Working knowledge in use of hand tools is required Strong computer and mathematical skillset Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, reliability and flexibility while working as part of the team What you can expect from us: Competitive compensation, benefits, pension, RRSP contribution and vacation time A flexible working environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance A dynamic and inclusive culture that promotes you to bring your whole-self to work A supportive team that will encourage your professional growth and development An opportunity to be meaningful and impactful within your work and projects
