The Regional Vehicle Modification Sales Manager is responsible for developing a strong sales and marketing program across multiple customer bases within the Rush Integrated Vehicle Modification Group, acting as a consultant that sells from the customer side of the table, prospect for and close sales of commercial truck solutions. Responsibilities: Achieve company objectives for sales and profit performance, to include driving top line sales, market share and bottom-line profit. Provide leadership and talent engagement for each Sales Representative in the market or branch to ensure a positive customer experience, to include building and maintaining customer relationships. Monitor, manage and direct supervision of Sales Representatives to include responsibility for selection, hiring, development, training, performance management and new hire procedures. Ensure execution on monthly expectations and standards, strategies and action items, to include use of the Customer Relationship Management tool, execution of sales opportunities and safety procedures. Lead bench strength planning in order to achieve and maintain sales growth requirements. Ensure execution of all people-related initiatives i.e., training, compensation approvals & fostering positive morale. Partner with cross functional partners (Parts, Service, Engineering) to ensure assigned locations are in alignment with the Organization in all process and direction. Collaborate on continuous improvement objectives utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Basic Qualifications and Attributes: Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Sales Leadership and Customer Development. (preferably commercial vehicle or industrial equipment) Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing or Finance preferred. Lean and Six Sigma methodologies knowledge and/or training. Strong financial acumen, cognitive skills, problem analysis, decision making and quantitative analysis experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams and Dynamics CRM. Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be willing to travel. Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier. Ability to Prospect for and close sales of commercial truck solutions. Ability to qualify and quote opportunities, responding to RFQ’s and contracts for new business and renewals. Ability to structure “win-win” deals. Desire to manage customer & company relationships, communicating & collaborating externally and internally. Desire to develop and lead a “world class” sales team.
