Responsibilities Suncoast Behavioral Health Center opened its doors in 2014 and provides the highest quality of behavioral healthcare for patients in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is a 60-bed free-standing psychiatric hospital. We offer diverse inpatient and residential programs for children and adolescents. In a highly specialized field of psychiatry, our goal is to promote cognitive, social, physical and emotional development to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to help our patients succeed. The Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse: Part-Time 7P-7A, weekend availability ($1,500 Sign-On Bonus) who will be responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the Child and Adolescent Units. The Nurse is in charge of the unit activities for each shift. The Nurse supervises the LPNs and Mental Health Techs working on the unit, administers prescribed medications and provides medication and other educational groups. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements: Current license to practice nursing in Florida (or eligible to receive or renew). Current CPR or BLS certification. Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting. Medium demand, mentally. Requires extensive time sitting, writing, and talking on telephone. Ability to assist in crisis intervention, physical intervention with out of control patients. Must be able to participate in and complete Handle With Care Training on an annual basis.
