Director, Index Governance Regulatory Operations (S&P Dow Jones Indices) The Team: The Director, Index Governance Regulatory Operations role will be a member of the Index Governance Operations team at S&P Dow Jones Indices. The Index Governance Operations team is committed to ensuring SPDJI’s indices are operated with all applicable regulations and industry best practices. The team focuses on index methodologies and changes, as well as evaluating policies and procedures to ensure adherence to the IOSCO Principles and any regulatory requirements. The Director, Index Governance Regulatory Operations role will focus on the creation and maintenance of workflows and policies associated with adherence to regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: Perform responsibilities related to oversight of index operations, with a particular focus on EU Benchmark Regulations and compliance with IOSCO Principles. Be involved with policy reviews and responsible for developing workflows and implementing controls to produce evidence demonstrating policy adherence. Responsible for alignment of IMBA UK and SPDJI governance and control framework and oversight of reporting, policies and procedures. Provide oversight of controls for all SPDJI benchmarks under FCA and BMR administration and endorsement. Work with compliance and legal to identify gaps in the control framework with regards to regulatory compliance. Drive remediation for uncovered gaps as well as issues identified by compliance and internal/external auditors. Ensure that benchmark statements and other types of regulatory documentation are complete, updated, and available. Maintain accuracy of the ESMA register and SPDJI and IMBA regulatory registers. Help drive workflows and process improvements across all of Index Governance to improve reporting, automation, and standardization.
