Quality Assurance Laboratory Assistant - King of Prussia

Overview Do you want to put your skills to work as a Quality Assurance Laboratory Assistant at our Processing Plant in King of Prussia, PA? Join us at John Middleton Company where you can help ensure only the highest quality product is sold to our consumers. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for sampling and conducting tests to determine specifications are met, on flavor materials before releasing batch to production. Performing physical analysis on tobacco material. Accurately recording lab data on physical and digital forms. Performing daily verifications and standard checks on laboratory equipment to remain compliant. Staying in sync with all laboratory and personnel safety practices. Your job duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: • Prepare, test, and document results for samples of flavor materials by physical, chemical, and organoleptic test methods. • Perform physical analysis on tobacco material and record data. • Maintain verification status of laboratory equipment. • Review laboratory data for quality and completeness and conduct Out-of-Specification events when vital. • Perform daily/weekly laboratory tasks as needed to keep laboratory equipment in optimal condition. Required Qualifications are: • At least 18 years of age • Legally eligible to work in the United States and for JMC • High school diploma or GED • 1-2 years of manufacturing, quality, or laboratory experience preferred • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Work and Teams • Available to work any shift, and must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays • Must be able to lift 50 lbs, be on feet most of the day, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance Company Overview Altria has a leading portfolio of tobacco products for U.S. tobacco consumers age 21+.
