Senior Manager Workforce Planning

If so, we want to speak with you! We are seeking a Senior Manager of Workforce Planning to join our People Analytics & Planning team based out of our headquarters in Richmond, VA. We are open to remote work arrangements anywhere in the US. You will lead Workforce Planning at Altria. This is an exciting opportunity to work across the company in a high visibility role with business leaders and HR to ensure we have the talent needed to achieve our company vision of responsibly leading the transition of adult smokers to a non-combustible future. What you will be doing: • Build and implement workforce plans, metrics, and strategies that optimize workforce capacity and drive talent decisions to align with business needs • Measure and analyze workforce metrics to develop insights and recommendations on identified trends, risks, opportunities for improvement, and progress on existing workforce plans • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide consultation to continuously improve on capacity planning processes and procedures, ensuring that the vital data is available for workforce planning • Grow and maintain relations with internal partners, including senior leadership, functional managers, and HR colleagues by delivering a high level of customer service, continuous support, and proactive involvement • Develop, implement, and maintain workforce planning tools, processes, and training for HR Business Partners and business leaders • Facilitate workforce planning sessions, in partnership with HR Business Partners, to identify critical roles, capability identification, gap analysis, and action planning • Find opportunities to streamline the end-to-end workforce planning process considering user experience • Develop communication and reference materials on workforce planning related processes, metrics, and tools We want you to have: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience • 6+ years’ proven experience in Human Resources, Workforce Planning, or a related field • Hands-on experience with workforce planning, capacity planning, and workforce management systems and tools • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with partners and present information concisely to a variety of audiences at all levels of the organization • Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing workforce planning strategies that align with strategic objectives • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of capacity planning and forecasting methodologies • Ability to balance both hands-on details and big-picture critical thinking • Experience improving processes, leading change programs, and managing projects • Comfort with ambiguity and working both independently and collaboratively to meet project timelines and build something new In addition to the opportunity to apply and develop your skills toward key strategic objectives, we offer an excellent compensation package including a competitive base salary, comprehensive health/vision/dental insurance, participation in our deferred profit sharing and incentive compensation programs as well as a relocation assistance package.
