Lead PACO Designer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood are recruiting a Lead I&C Designer for the engineering team reviewing appropriate specifications and design briefs, etc. to produce and develop instrument and control design drawings and documents relating to a wide range of industrial equipment for industries such as oil and gas,the position is 6/1 daily work. <br><ul><li> Consult with and take direction from assigned engineering personnel as may be required </li><li> Once specifications have been developed by the engineers, plan and develop detailed design documents and drawings </li><li> Adopt safe attitudes towards engineering design and identify features affecting the safety and integrity of the design </li><li> To co-ordinate / supervise other designers to suit project requirements </li><li> To attend project meetings as required / instructed </li><li> To ensure that estimated design man hours are professionally managed in order to achieve project / company expectations </li><li> Undertake review and signature check of appropriate design documents generated by other designers </li><li> To partake in duties associated with document management and archiving in accordance with company / client requirements </li><li> To undertake detailed surveys to identify appropriate design solutions </li><li> Maintain and develop understanding of relevant technology, codes and standards </li><li> Adhere to company policies and procedures </li><li> Be part of the company safety and quality culture </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Normally 8 years of design experience post qualification </li><li> Demonstrate an in-depth working knowledge of instrumentation and control engineering </li><li> Understanding and experience of relevant codes and standards including BS 7671, IEC 61511, ATEX, DSEAR, CDM 2015, etc </li><li> Knowledge and understanding of control systems, such as DCS, PLC's, SCADA, etc </li><li> Experience within the oil and gas, petrochemical or power generation sectors </li><li> Have experience of working with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS). </li><li> Demonstrate a sound understanding of industry best practices and work to established standards and current legislation </li><li> Experience of equipment specification and calculations, such as, Intrinsically Safe calculations, thermowell sizing, etc </li><li> Offshore design experience </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
