Strategy & Business Development Manager

About the job: To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Strategy & Business Development Manager. This is a senior business partner who will setting the strategic agenda for the ANZ Business. Here is an opportunity where you can make key decisions on our portfolios, where we invest and where to dilute, identifying import opportunities, creating distribution partnerships and identifying M&A targets. The role requires someone with strong financial acumen, an experienced problem solver, strong influencer, and strategic thinker who can successfully work as a team player within multifunctional and multidiscipline teams, sharing knowledge, contributing proactively to achieving team goals and providing coaching and guidance to other team members. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Identify business transformation opportunities and gain business alignment and approval Coordinate in partnership with the ANZ Commercial Unit Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other leaders Facilitate decisions on transformation priorities; define and manage a milestone-based achievement dashboard Establish robust Roadmaps with forward looking milestones to achieve target benefits for each transformation initiative Work with ELT to identify largest business continuity risks; develop robust risk mitigation and contingency plans Partner with HR to develop a high-level overview of all transformation initiatives and their impact Design and roll out a staged, multi-media set of communications to the broader organisation on transformation Lead and motivate a direct and virtual team in identifying, designing and implementing transformation agenda outcomes Qualifications About you: Strong financial acumen from granular P&L understanding to sophistical financial modeling Mergers and Acquisition experience is essential Experience in managing large scale, multi-initiative programs, typically exceeding $10MM in annualised benefits Proven track record of delivering major projects on time, on budget, and to required quality standards Experience in Business Development, Corporate Strategy, Project Strategy and M&A Strategy Ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues, and develop strategies for delivering solutions For you: We offer a competitive benefits package Access generous leave options (e.g. wellness, birthday, volunteer, purchase additional leave/cash out leave) We understand that bringing the best version of yourself to work means looking after yourself holistically.
