SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEER</p>

JOB OVERVIEW:</p>
<p>
To provide reservoir engineering and subsurface technical support to the business in order to increase reservoir understanding, deliver production forecasts, plan and execute technical work programmes, and identify growth opportunities (including in energy transition)</p>
<p>

<p>
ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p>
<p>
Generate production forecasts and undertake reserves reporting across a range of operated and non-operated assets.</p>
<p>
Monitor reservoir performance on existing fields and work with Asset / Production teams to optimize production and maximize recovery from late life fields. </p>
<p>
Assess subsurface infill well and intervention opportunities and work with multi-discipline project team to mature towards an investment decision.</p>
<p>
Develop / maintain subsurface models and undertake reservoir simulation studies. </p>
<p>
Manage, maintain and interpret key subsurface data sets.</p>
<p>
Project management of outsourced subsurface studies.</p>
<p>
Reservoir engineering input into new business opportunity evaluations, including energy transition activities / carbon storage.</p>
<p>
Provide planning and operational support for well drilling and testing activities.</p>
<p>
Prepare and present subsurface material internally and to regulators and joint venture partners. </p>
<p>
Work closely within an integrated Subsurface team, and communicate effectively with Asset, Production, Finance, Wells and other appropriate business areas.</p>
<p>
Share knowledge within the organization and bring new ideas through wider industry network.</p>
<p>
Follow and support safety and environmental policies, guidelines, procedures, and an incident free workplace.</p>
<p>

<p>
COMPETENCIES:</p>
<p>
Strong understanding of fluid dynamic behaviour and reservoir drive mechanisms.</p>
<p>
User of dynamic modelling packages, preferably Petrel-RE, Eclipse, or PETEX suite, but other simulators acceptable.</p>
<p>
Experience in drilling and well operations.</p>
<p>
Good awareness of legislation, licensing, and fiscal issues relevant to the oil and gas industry. </p>
<p>
Good commercial awareness with an understanding of project financing and cost control. </p>
<p>
Proven ability to undertake complex tasks requiring the application of well-developed technical skills and knowledge with limited supervision. </p>
<p>
Track record of subsurface creativity, identifying growth opportunities and value adding activities</p>
<p>
Excellent communicator with the ability to manage various stakeholders and work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams. </p>
<p>
Self-starter, highly motivated and well organized. </p>
<p>
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills. </p>
<p>

<p>
EDUCATION:</p>
<p>
Educated to degree level, ideally with an MSc in a relevant discipline. </p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
WORK EXPERIENCE: </p>
<p>
Demonstrable experience in production forecasting and reserves reporting, including consolidation of multiple assets through integrated production networks.</p>
<p>
Broad subsurface knowledge of the UKCS, ideally with previous experience of SNS tight gas developments.</p>
<p>
Experience of working in an E&amp;P operator and as part of joint venture groups.</p>
<p>
Experience of working within a challenging and diverse asset management environment.</p>
<p>
Any experience in Carbon Storage would be beneficial.</p>
