In-Country Site Manager

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Multi Discipline In-Country Site Manager to be based in Papua New Guinea on a Fly in Fly Out rotational schedule. <br><br>Reporting to the In-Country Manager, this role is responsible for the planning and safe execution of all on-site construction activities and will lead construction work crews to safely deliver discipline activities in compliance with client and Wood work instructions using current best practice techniques in multicultural environment. <br><br><b> Responsibilities </b><br><ul><li> Plan and coordinate the construction interface between site and head office </li><li> Accountable for site planning and resource management including subcontractors </li><li> Site IR management - ability to handle minor IR issues and grievances </li><li> Participate and own the work breakdown structure for each project </li><li> Set and maintain the quality of drawings and timely certification sign off and close out of work packs </li><li> Actively input to Construction estimate / CTRs </li><li> Provide project resource time writing allocation and project budget oversight. </li><li> Actively promote excellence in Health & Safety by setting clear expectations for site </li><li> Instructing work crew on job scope and monitoring progress </li><li> Creating necessary permits and risk assessment for work activities </li><li> Setting of expectations for individuals and work teams, communicate organization roles & responsibilities and provide ongoing coaching and support </li><li> Provide consistent, visible leadership to ensure string individual and team motivation and productivity </li><li> Ensure project and operations risks are clearly identified and efficiently managed by project teams </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> 15 years' minimum construction experience in Oil & Gas Industry </li><li> 10 years' minimum construction supervision or coordination role overseeing the construction of major projects </li><li> Be able to work independently liaising with the respective project Engineers and Support Team </li><li> Demonstrated administrative and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively serve as an interface between the construction contractor, the client operations group and the client Projects/Engineering representative </li><li> Experience in implementing the construction of modifications in and operating Oil & Gas facility </li><li> Demonstrated knowledge of international construction codes and standards </li><li> Demonstrated ability to develop construction implementation schedules and provide ongoing status reports to client engineers and management </li><li> Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others and coordinate multiple crews in various field locations </li><li> Good working knowledge of SMP Drawings & Completion </li><li> International assignment/project experience in similar roles will be highly regarded </li></ul><br> If you're an experienced Construction Coordinator ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today <br><br> . <br><br> Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
