Able to work of own initiative or with minimal instruction. Take responsibility and ownership for the areas that you work within, which include the following areas-Barn, Yard control, Skip Quarantine, Waste Skips, husk removal and Recycling Skips This includes good housekeeping, including regular cleaning of equipment (Tele-handler) To maintain a safe, healthy and hygienic work place. Work safely and improve safety through plant systems. (Near Miss reporting- Food, Safety & Environmental etc.) To inspect all tipping skips on site, ensuring compliance to LOLER, removing non-compliance skips to the quarantine area and arranging for repairs via engineering support. Liaise with environmental specialist to ensure all waste streams are measured accurately and timely. Records completed in a timely accurate manner. Maintain duties as requested by the environmental specialist. Accountability for good communication and hand over procedures Working Hours: 12/7 shift pattern with a 12.5% shift allowance. Eg Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 06.30 – 18.30 Week 2 – Wednesday & Thursday – 06.30 – 18.30 Qualifications Key Skills: Competent to drive an FLT and Tele-handler vehicle (licenced) Ability to manage time between loading various vehicles and meeting environmental duties. Follow and promote all safety related SWP & SOP’s as required Set high personal standards by quality of work Ability to follow clear instructions.
