Job Summary Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Edits new and existing applications. Implements, testing and debugging defined software components. Documents all development activity. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge. Job Description Core Responsibilities Design, develop, test, debug and document new and existing software and or applications for real-time communication services. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements. Evaluate new and emerging technologies for implementation. Create platform and other application prototypes quickly. Contribute to and respond to peer code reviews as needed. Write code to create robust and scalable applications. Works with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Strong technical expertise and troubleshooting skills for large scale enterprise systems and software. Minimal conceptual, logical and physical data modeling with data modeling tools and database design in complex, large-scale data environments. Strong Java programming background. Java 8+; Spring Boot; Microservices; Rest API; Spring Data; Spring Security; AWS S3, SQS/SNS, Kinesis, Kafka, EC2, RDS, Lambda; Cassandra; MongoDB ; Elasticsearch. Solid understanding of technologies used. Advanced trouble-shooting skills. Begin working on design and development; cross systems technical knowledge; Subject matter expertise in one or more technical areas; demonstrates knowledge of technologies beyond core focus of initial study. Isolates problems related to systems that interact with their code. Can help to optimize the system performance and parameters. Responsibilities: Designs, develops, and implements Java web services to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and document processes. Develops basic and detailed program specifications. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, maintains, and modifies computer programs of high complexity, significance, and risk Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Contribute to the Design and develop high quality software for large scale Java distributed systems Perform unit and system testing of application code as well as execution of implementation activities. Analyze business requirements, and create technical design documents that are in accordance with the company’s architecture standards. Demonstrates strong understanding of the business needs driving the projects. Prior experience of handling production incident for large scale systems is a plus. Ability to understand the large scale systems, infrastructure architecture, route the traffic to handle an outage is desirable. Knowledge of devops system like monitoring tools, alert systems, logging framework, deployment pipeline is preferred. Skills Java (in-depth), Spring Framework, SOAP/RESTful services/GraphQL Cloud Foundry (PaaS), AWS Webservices tool set - SOAP UI, Postman (or any REST clients), GraphiQL Java development tool set -Eclipse/IntelliJ, GoCICD(or similar continuous deployment tool), Gradle/Maven, and Github(or similar SCCS).
