CONTEXT:

Are you an experienced Process Engineer with an interest in flow assurance and chemistry? Would you relish the challenge of working on a major gas-condensate field with subsea wells at 600m water depth, and a unique 142km tie-back to onshore facilities in some of the harshest conditions the UK offshore environment has to offer? You will be working on a key asset which enjoys a highly supportive and engaged team spirit with a diverse blend of employees at the office and onsite, all working together to achieve excellent results.

Reporting to the Team Leader and working alongside the existing process engineers, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to the site to improve safety, reliability, production, efficiency, environmental and cost performance.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Monitor and optimise production operating parameters via PCS, PI Process Book, Unisim and Ledaflow to ensure all possible improvements are identified and actioned.

Preparation of production optimisation trial programmes.

Optimisation of start-up, shutdown and flowline pigging programmes to minimise production shortfalls associated with complex flow assurance operations in collaboration with the on-site field technologist.

Preparation, review, and update of well management and flow assurance aspects on SGP operating procedures.

Provide technical assistance in investigation and resolution of flow assurance related issues impacting on the process.

Undertake technical bid evaluations on 3rd party proposals.

Technical input to Commercial and Development studies carried out by the Performance and Growth Team.

Provide support for procurement of materials, chemicals and 3rd party services.

Oversee production chemistry matters, and seek external expertise, relating to Asset operations to optimise production flow and maintain the integrity of process systems within the asset.

Follow up chemical sampling and onsite/3rd party lab testing.

Perform and clearly communicate outputs of studies for plant modifications related to process or production.

Prepare scopes of work for 3rd party vendor / consultancy services to carry out study and modification work.

Monitor progress of 3rd parties carrying out study / design and engineering work to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of production / safety / integrity issues.

Develop and maintain good working relationships with asset site personnel, other business units and 3rd party contractors and vendors through effective communication and regular site visits.
