Senior Metallurgy and Corrosion Engineer

Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Senior Metallurgy and Corrosion Engineer to join their global engineering client on a permanent basis. This role will be delivered from their Woking office in Surrey.</p>

The successful candidate will contribute to projects across Engineering and Consultancy service markets such as: Oil and Gas, Offshore Wind, Hydrogen and Low Carbon.</p><p> </p><ul><li>Providing corrosion and materials expertise at all project and lifecycle stages from Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED, Detail Design, Construction and Operational.</li><li>Experience in materials selection and corrosion for the operational assets including knowledge of life extension projects.</li><li>Design and review of cathodic protection systems for Jackets, Sub- Sea and onshore pipelines, onshore oil and gas buried metallic structures, concrete cathodic protection.</li><li>Coating and painting of offshore and on shore structures</li><li>Writing of Materials Selection Philosophies, Reports and preparing Materials Selection Diagrams</li><li>Writing of Materials Specification (Coating and Painting, Insulations and Sour materials)</li><li>Work experience of the corrosion models (ECE 5, Predict etc)</li><li>Work experience of CCS and Hydrogen projects</li><li>Writing of material, cathodic protection specifications and cathodic protection design reports</li><li>Providing input for costing, procurement, and preparation of cathodic protection job detail for vendor</li><li>Representing Company in the client meetings</li><li>Liaising with vendors on behalf of clients.</li><li>Contributing towards bids and proposals.</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>Engineering degree (honours or equivalent) in metallurgical and materials</li><li>NACE CP Level 2/3 or equivalent</li><li>Chartered status (or working towards) is considered advantageous</li><li>Proven success in delivering studies and preparing clear, concise reports against time, cost, and quality objectives.</li><li>Cathodic protection design of pipelines, Tanks, Piping, and offshore structures is required</li><li>Knowledge of CO2, H2S corrosion, CO2 Dense Phase, H2, MIC and Chlorides degradation mechanisms is required. Ammonia corrosion is considered advantageous.</li><li>Coating and Painting knowledge is advantageous</li><li>Self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, and mature approach to work.</li></ul>
