As the Obsolescence Manager, you will provide technical leadership and expertise in design, implementation and coordination of obsolescence management solutions. You will support business sales and service plans. You will be the single point of contact within the company for obsolescence management.<br />
<br />
As the Obsolescence Manager, you will be responsible for:</p>

<ul>
<li>Developing Obsolescence Management Strategies to ensure proactive obsolescence management</li>
<li>Sustaining the obsolescence management process ensuring key aspects of the process such as: data collection, analysis, and review are appropriate for product type</li>
<li>Working with key stakeholders to ensure compliance to the obsolescence management process</li>
<li>Building awareness of obsolescence management process within the broader engineering community</li>
<li>Reporting the Product Lifecycle Status including the impact of obsolete parts on the business,</li>
<li>Preparing of Product Obsolescence Dashboards/Reports</li>
<li>Supporting the review board decision making process and product development roadmap decision making</li>
<li>Managing the projects and initiatives from creation, through execution to successful implementation into our product portfolio</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Fuel your passion</b><br />

To be successful in this role you will:</p>

<ul>
<li>Have a background in Engineering/Technology based discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience</li>
<li>Have broad project management experience underpinned by a thorough knowledge and understanding of development life cycle and engineering disciplines (design/test/manufacturing/in field support)</li>
<li>Have significant experience in managing component and product lifecycle. Specifically, Electronics obsolescence</li>
<li>Have experience in proactive obsolescence management in a defense environment</li>
<li>Have good understanding and ability to apply BS EN IEC 62402:2019</li>
<li>Have broad understanding supply chain, distribution especially the electronics sector and Contract Electronics Manufacturers (CEM)</li>
<li>Have experience of managing customer/supplier interface</li>
<li>Have extensive experience in presenting data driven reports and proposals to stakeholders internal and customer</li>
